T-Deck

The LilyGo T-Deck is an all-in-one LoRa messaging device that combines a compact ESP32-S3 microcontroller with a built-in keyboard, touchscreen display, and LoRa radio. It’s perfect for users who want a standalone device without needing to connect to a smartphone.

• Complete Standalone Device: Unlike many LoRa radios that require a phone app, the T-Deck includes everything you need - keyboard for typing messages, display for reading them, and GPS for location sharing.

• Powerful Hardware: The ESP32-S3 chip provides plenty of processing power for both Meshtastic and MeshCore firmware, with dual-core processing and built-in WiFi/Bluetooth.

• Long-Range Communication: Equipped with the Semtech SX1262 LoRa chip, the T-Deck can achieve several kilometers of range with good line-of-sight conditions.

• Users who want a dedicated mesh networking device

1. Flash with MeshCore or Meshtastic firmware
2. Attach an external LoRa antenna to the SMA connector (required for proper operation)
3. Insert an 18650 battery (not included)
4. Power on and configure your device settings

• The device uses a T9-style keyboard input by default - familiarize yourself with the key layout
• Always use an external antenna - running without one can damage the LoRa radio
• Consider a higher-gain antenna for better range in areas with obstacles
