Vashon Repeater Locations - Feb 2026

At our 1st meeting we came up with an initial list of repeater locations. Rick has offered to help get MeshCore repeaters on island high spots. I’ve been contacting some folks & attempting to develop a plan for at least some core™ of stable island repeaters.

I can see additional repeaters coming & going in the future based on experimentation, personal need and basic Brownian motion.

What we’ve got already:

• Next to the Skate Park/Judd Creek bridge. Not a high location though.
• Dolphin Point
• Just east of Heights Water, N. Vashon Forest Repeater
• Elisha Repeater, ne of Judd Creek
• Maury Island 🛸, a bit east of the Marine Park parking lot, a bit west of Swallows Nest
• Lisa Bee up on Wax Orchard

This just shows 10 of the 16 repeaters I reach with a direct path, no hops.

A few folks have offered to buy a couple repeaters, but once we whittle down the list, we may need to seek some funds. Depending on the antenna, industrial quality repeaters can be around $$150-275 per repeater. Finding them is stock is trickier! Much cheaper repeaters can be assembled for under $$100 dollars.
